Blackwell Slaps 5 Hits Friday, August 15th , 2042 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Shirakawa's 4-3 win over Mokule'ia, second baseman Darryl Blackwell was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Halberds Ballpark. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Blackwell said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Darryl Blackwell singled in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Miguel Longoria in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run double in the 9th.
