It was a fantastic week for Kauai catcher Ángel Romero and it was capped off today with the announcement that he was named the winner of the Hawaiian League Player of the Week Award.
Last week Romero hammered the ball at a torrid .667 pace, going 10-for-15 with 5 home runs, 12 RBIs and 8 runs scored.
So far this season Romero has put up a .309 batting average with 21 hits, 9 home runs and 23 RBIs.
