Salmon Advance to Surf and Snow Cup

The joy and relief on the faces of the Ketchikan Salmon players was obvious as they celebrated their Championship win over the Kivalina Bowheads.
"In a series like this, the smallest thing can make the difference in how it turns out," said Ketchikan second baseman Pedro Gonzáles, shortly after the 3-1 win that clinched the series 4-3. "We're happy we did what it takes to get it done."
The team is now off to the Surf and Snow Cup.
Gonzáles won series MVP honors on the strength of his .333 batting average during the series. He also had a .368 on-base percentage and 4 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.
The Surf and Snow Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the Championship finishes.
