Oceanic Advance to Surf and Snow Cup
Friday, October 10th , 2042
Many baseball pundits expected a close series in the Hawaiian League Championship. It turned out quite a bit different.
The Mokule'ia Oceanic swept aside the Ewa Beach Imperialists to advance to the Surf and Snow Cup, winning the final game by a 6-4 score at Rison Grounds.
The series MVP was shortstop Lorenzo Tovar, who hit .438 with a .438 on-base percentage. He had 0 home runs, drove in 4 RBI and scored 4 runs.
"We expected this series to go right down to the wire, so to sweep is a bit of a surprise," he said. "But we'll take it."
The Surf and Snow Cup matchups and schedule will be announced after the Championship finishes.
