Friday, August 8th , 2042
Sadahige Kokawa was hard to stop but his Nagano Olympians were not.
The El Cajon Virus overcame a cycle by Kokawa to win, 10-9, against the Olympians at Ballpark of El Cajon.
"It feels good for me, but it would have felt even better if we had won that ballgame," Kokawa told the press corps. "I still enjoy it, but I would've liked to win the game, too."
He cracked 4 hits in 5 at-bats, had 3 runs batted in and 3 runs scored. Although his team lost, the Olympians second baseman will still get his place in the record books.
Sadahige Kokawa struck out in the 1st, hit a solo-shot off Javier MacĂas in the 3rd, hit an RBI double in the 5th, hit an RBI triple in the 7th and singled in the 9th.
For the season, Kokawa has produced 53 hits in 153 at-bats for a .346 average with 8 home runs and gotten on base at a .412 clip.
