He finished the season with 14 victories and only 4 losses, with an impressive 2.40 ERA. The talented Imperialists pitcher started 22 games and struck out 239 batters in 150 innings and won the Hawaiian League Outstanding Pitcher Award.
"It means a lot," Hashimoto said. "I hadn't really had a chance to sit down and think about it yet. It feels good right now. I can't really put it into words, but I'm sure later on tonight when I have a chance to sit down with my family and think about it, I'll have some words for it. But right now, I'm just happy that it happened this year."
