Taku Gets Riveting Walk-Off Win
Despite a fine performance by third baseman Gustavo Polanco, the Skagway Prospectors lost to the Taku Winds, 5-4. Polanco slugged 2 home runs, while adding 3 RBI and scoring twice. Fernando González snagged the win in relief. In 1.1 innings, the right-hander allowed 1 run on 1 hit. He's now 1-0 on the season. The loss drops the Prospectors to 5-6.

The game ended with a bang. In the bottom of the tenth, with Taku trailing 4-3, Zhi-xin Gui jumped on a 1-0 curveball from Bobby Brown for a 2-run home run, sending the Winds to a walk-off win.

"The game is never over 'til it's over," said a jubilant Joe Buchanan, the Taku skipper.
