The Lincoln Emancipation and Shizuoka Anguirus played a tight game with the hosts claiming a hard-fought win.
Fernando Fierro pitched well, but his team, the Shizuoka Anguirus, still dropped a 2-1 decision to the Lincoln Emancipation at Emancipation Stadium. Lincoln reliever António López picked up the win, upping his record to 1-4. Fernando Fierro shouldered the loss. Roberto Alicea collected his 1st save.
In the bottom of the fifth, Lincoln designated hitter José Jiménez had a productive at-bat. With runners on 1st and 2nd and no one out, Jiménez stroked a run-scoring single to center. It made the score 1-0, Lincoln. For the game, he was 1 for 3 with a walk.
"Nice to get this one," said Jiménez. "Wins have been hard to come by."
Lincoln, with the win, climbs to 8-22.
