| Breaking News |  | Anchormen Win 2011 Ambassador's Cup Monday, September 26th, 2011: Nobody played better baseball this season than the Global Baseball Brotherhood champions, the Newport News Anchormen.
They defeated the Thornton FasTrax 7-5 today at FasTrax Ballpark and hauled in the Ambassador's Cup trophy for the 1st time in their history.
In regular season play, Newport News chalked up a 84-56 record and wound up second in the Appalachian Mountain League South. |  | Stroud May Depart Lincoln Saturday, September 24th, 2011: Rumors circulating around town say first baseman Vic Stroud is not happy at all playing in Lincoln and that the Emancipation are actively shopping him around. |  | Nick Harris Will Miss 2-3 Months Friday, September 23rd, 2011: The Thornton FasTrax will lose the services of right fielder Nick Harris after he sustained a torn hamstring while running the bases in today's game against the Newport News Anchormen. "I'll get through it," Harris said. "The key now is to stay positive." His trainer said he is expected to be sidelined for 2-3 months.
