Ambers Get Past Leeds for 8-7 Win
José García did all he could to help his team win. In the end, though, it wasn't enough to keep the Leeds Locomotives from losing, 8-7, to the Akron Ambers at Great Lakes Field. García was 4 for 4 with a double, 3 singles, and a walk, while scoring 2. The Ambers now have a record of 43-72.

The game was decided with no one out in the bottom of the ninth. With Akron trailing 7-6, Lucas Fullerton hit a cutter from Phil Eldridge to center for a 2-run double. Just like that, the Ambers had a walk-off win.

"We can always improve and get better, but we're feeling confident after that win," said Fullerton.
