Chesapeake Bay second baseman Adrián Gutiérrez had a 3-RBI game, which proved instrumental in his team beating the Newport News Anchormen, 6-3. Gutiérrez picked up 3 singles and 1 double in the ballgame. Jorge Gallegos picked up the win in relief for Chesapeake Bay, while Luca Whiteway took the loss. The Oysters now own a record of 47-28.

Gutiérrez had a game-changing double in the top of the tenth. On a 1-2 knuckle curve from Luca Whiteway, he banged a 2-run double to left, giving the Oysters a 5-3 lead. It was the 13th double of the year for Gutiérrez.

"Good win for us, tough loss for them," said Gutiérrez.
