Oysters Fell Ambers, 4-1

The Chesapeake Bay Oysters picked up a win at Ballpark of Chesapeake Bay, taking down the Akron Ambers, 4-1. Starting pitcher Álex Vargas was a big reason why. Oscar Grancagnola picked up the save for Chesapeake Bay, his 2nd of the year. The Oysters improve their record to 42-26 with the win over Akron.
Ernesto Herrera, the Chesapeake Bay catcher, contributed a 2-run single in the bottom of the fifth inning to make the score 3-1, Oysters. For the game, Herrera went 2 for 4 with 2 singles. He drove in 2 runs.
"I told our guys, 'Runs don't score by themselves,'" said Herrera. "You need someone to get on base and someone to drive them in."
