Missionaries Win to Extend Series Lead to 3-0
The Provo Missionaries are one game away from a sweep after beating the visiting Kyoto Rodan, 5-1, at Field of the Missionaries today. Missionaries right-hander James McCoy had a standout performance in which he threw 6.2 innings of 5-hit ball. Provo now holds a 3-0 advantage in the best-of-7 Championship.

Edgardo Longoria, who was drafted in the 2nd round of the 2032 draft, aided the Provo cause with a run-scoring double in the bottom of the sixth. For the game, the first baseman went 1-4 with a double.

"We're happy," McCoy told reporters after the win. "When you're in the playoffs, you've got to treat every game like it could be your last."

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Field of the Missionaries in Provo.
