Trailing by a game in the Divisional, Barney Swanson was ready for his start.

The right-hander turned in a performance for the ages at Beantown Ballpark today, pitching a 9-inning, complete-game shutout to lead the Clifton Dons to victory in Game 4 of the Divisional. Swanson held the Beantown Browns to 6 hits and 1 walk, while striking out 5. The win brought Clifton into a 2-2 tie in the best-of-7 series.

Swanson went the distance for Clifton. He allowed no runs on 6 hits, while striking out 5 and walking 1.

"I expect to pitch a complete game shutout every time," said Swanson.

The next game is set to be played tomorrow at Beantown Ballpark in Randolph.
