De La Garza, Rodan Sink Puckmen Again in Game 2
|
The Kyoto Rodan moved to within one game of the Divisional today, downing the visiting Namuko Puckmen at Kaiju Coliseum by a score of 7-5. Rodan left fielder Carlos De La Garza did some major damage. He was 2 for 4 with 2 home runs. The win gives the Rodan a 2-0 advantage in the best-of-5 Wild Card.
In the bottom of the fifth, Maxime Plamondon delivered a clutch hit. With two gone and runners on 2nd and 3rd, the Kyoto left fielder hit a 2-run double, putting the Rodan in front, 7-5.
"We haven't stopped playing," Namuko manager Arnie Miller said. "We didn't get this far to give up."
Game 3 is scheduled for Saturday at Puckmen Ballpark.
