Hilo pitcher Seika Endo was good. Really good. He twirled a 0-hit shutout to beat the Ewa Beach Imperialists, 1-0. Endo went the distance for Hilo. He gave up no runs on no hits. The 4th-place Hoops lifted their record to 52-54.
John Bayles won the game for Hilo when homered off Troy Thomas in the bottom of the ninth.
"That's a good team we beat," said Endo.
