Storks Beat Autobots, 6-1
|
The Atsumi Autobots and Yasu Storks were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.
The Yasu Storks picked up a win at Field of the Storks, knocking off the Atsumi Autobots, 6-1. Starting pitcher Carlos Castaneda was a big reason why. Jorge Coronado closed it out for his 1st save.
The Storks got a big at-bat from third baseman Richard Carpenter. For the game, Carpenter went 1-3 with a home run and a walk. He drove in 2 runs and scored once. In the bottom of the sixth, with a runner on 1st, he stroked a 2-run home run. His 13th home run of the season gave Yasu a 2-0 lead.
"Winning never gets old," said Castaneda.
The 4th-place Storks improved to 41-57.
