The Horizon HS Huskies defeated the Boone HS Matadors, 5-0, in Western League action at Boone Ballpark. Horizon HS pitcher Ambrose MacPherson had a standout performance. MacPherson picked up the win for Horizon HS, going 5 innings. He gave up no runs on 4 hits. He now sports a record of 2-0. Keith Martínez closed it out for his 1st save.
Who knows how it might've ended, had it not been for Luis Padilla? The Horizon HS first baseman had a run-scoring double in the top of the first inning to put the Huskies on top, 1-0. For the game, Padilla had 1 double and 1 single in 5 at-bats.
