Henderson Resolve Tested in 3-2 Win
|
It was pandemonium at Ballpark of Henderson after an exciting walk-off win.
The Henderson Fighting Scotts had to overcome a good performance from Glendale pitcher Kenny Boone to claim a 3-2 win at Ballpark of Henderson. Boone went 6.1 innings and allowed 1 run. The win belongs to Gustavo Ramos in relief. His record improves to 6-0. Mario Marino took the loss for Glendale.
Li-ben Wa was the walk-off hero for Henderson. With the game tied in the bottom of the ninth inning, the Fighting Scotts left fielder hit a dramatic run-scoring single to send the teams home.
"Credit where credit is due," said Wa, "this was a team win."
The Fighting Scotts lead the Rocky Mountain League West by 2 games.
