The game between Niigata and Thornton is in the books, despite a little rain.
Billy Norrish helped his team muscle past the Thornton Sun Dogs, 5-4. In the game, the Niigata second baseman went 3-5 with a home run and 2 singles. He scored 2 runs and drove in 2. Niigata reliever Edel Teischer picked up the win to move to 3-3. Tyan-yu Zeng suffered the loss.
The most crucial at-bat for Niigata came in the top of the tenth inning. That's when Norrish stroked a 1-2 curveball to left-center for a solo home run, putting Niigata up, 5-4.
"It's a satisfying feeling, to win like we did," said Norrish.
The Gigans bumped their record to 71-63 with this win.
