Kailua played host to Yasu at Blue Birds Ballpark.

Kailua overcame a superior effort from Sosa Harada to beat Yasu, 5-1. The Yasu pitcher threw 7.0 innings of 2-hit ball. Dan Elmore snagged the win in relief. In 1.2 innings, the left-hander allowed no runs on no hits. He's now 2-1 on the season.

Kailua took a 3-1 lead on Takafumi Toiguchi's 10th double of the season. The 2-run double, which Toiguchi hit in the bottom of the eighth, left Yasu pitcher Manuel Díaz visibly frustrated.

"Some of the guys in here work hard, some of the guys just kind of fall out of bed and get it done. Whatever works I guess, we won this one," Toiguchi told the Kailua Citizen.
