Pruitt Tosses No-Hitter Against Lakewood HS
The Billings West HS Lookouts relied on no-hit stuff from starter Ken Pruitt to defeat the Lakewood HS Lancers 3-0 at Lancers Ballpark today.

"It's quite a thrill," Pruitt told the media afterward. "This is a top-notch league. A no-hitter against any team in the league is something special. I can't believe I did it."

To get his name logged in the Western League records, he stopped Lakewood HS cold and hitless, surrendering no walks and fanning 7 of the 29 batters he faced.

Billings West HS manager Rob Peterson was in a jovial mode after the game, kidding with reporters that Pruitt "made managing easy today."

"I didn't have hardly any decisions to make like I usually do," he said. "I didn't even have to come up with a pinch hitter."
