Some moments become linked with a particular player's career forever. Ezra Smith of the Mauna Loa Vulcans had one of those moments when he went 5-for-6 at the plate today in the 20-3 win over the Lana'i City Pineapples at Recoil Stadium.

"I won't forget this anytime soon, and I don't expect it to happen too often," the 20-year-old first baseman told reporters in the postgame interview. "I'll be happy to just get a hit or two every day. Enough to hang around the league a while longer. Like 10, maybe 15 more years."

Ezra Smith hit a three-run home run off Wilson Scott in the 1st, singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, struck out in the 4th, singled in the 5th and singled in the 7th.

So far this season Smith has put up a .345 batting average with 19 hits, 5 home runs and 11 RBIs.
