The Wasilla Sledge Dogs and Kenai Traders were greeted by an enthusiastic crowd.

The Kenai Traders went home winners at Oceans Ballpark, thanks in large part to starter Elton Kitchens. Kitchens stifled the Wasilla Sledge Dogs, enabling Kenai to grab the 3-0 win. In 6 innings, Kitchens surrendered 2 hits, while striking out 7 and walking 1. He allowed no runs. Mario Luna locked down his 13th save.

Juan Jose Ventura, the 19-year old third baseman , had a direct impact on the outcome. Ventura contributed a solo home run in the top of the sixth inning to put Kenai up, 2-0.

"I like the roll we're on," said Kenai manager Tony Thompson.
