In the 7-3 Cy-Fair HS win over Barbe HS, the impact of Bill Reid was substantial. Reid went 2 for 4 with a home run, while adding 4 RBI and scoring once. Reliever Roger Chapin picked up the win. His record improves to 1-0. Ben Schultz took the loss. Cy-Fair HS currently is in first place in the Eastern League Deep South Conference at 15-9.

With Cy-Fair HS trailing 1-0 in the bottom of the second, Reid hit a 2-run home run off Barbe HS hurler Larry Neiland. It was the 2nd home run of the season for Reid and put his team ahead, 2-1.

Reid called the win the result of "everyone working in tandem."
