Cary Bickel added some punch to the Sitka offense, helping them outmuscle the Fairbanks Grunts, 11-7. In the game, Bickel belted 2 home runs. He drove in 7 runs and scored twice. Sitka reliever Soetsu Sasaki picked up the win, raising his record to 1-1. António Gonzáles was tagged with the loss. The Capitals, at 16-24, sit in last place in the Alaskan League Oiler.

The game was still up for grabs in the bottom of the ninth. With two out, Bickel hit a changeup from Antonio Gonçalves for a grand slam home run. The Capitals, in dramatic fashion, had a walk-off win.

"It's great to see the crowd jacked up," Bickel said.
