Skagway's Meshizuka Acclaimed Best AL Hitter Wednesday, October 1st , 2042 Takeji Meshizuka has a lot going for him. The Skagway first baseman just broke into the majors this year and now the Alaskan League has just picked him as its top hitter for September. In 15 games last month this outstanding rookie batted .340 with 12 home runs, 18 RBIs and 15 runs scored. This season, Meshizuka has hit 42 home runs and posted a .240 batting average. |
