Kivalina Wins Top Spot in Alaskan League Klondike Wednesday, September 3rd , 2042 While it seemed a foregone conclusion for quite some time, today it became official: the Kivalina Bowheads are champions of the Alaskan League Klondike. The club has been rolling well ahead of the pack with a 62-34 record and have now officially qualified for the postseason. "It's a good feeling to know you can't be caught," said left fielder Billy McDaniel. "Now we can focus on getting ourselves ready to win a Surf and Snow Cup." The club's division title was their 9th and they will be attempting to win the franchise's 2nd title. According to manager Jesús Mireles, "I think we've got as good a chance as any team in Surf and Snow Amalgamation." |
