Fireflies Delgado July's Top Hurler Friday, August 1st , 2042 The Hawaiian League hitters didn't have a chance in July when the Kobayashi Fireflies manager wrote "Delgado" on the lineup card. Outing after outing, Roberto Delgado held teams in check and usually got a win. He excelled with a 5-0 mark and 0.72 ERA in 6 starts. The talented Fireflies star pitched 37.2 innings, fanned 28 and held opposing teams to a .116 average. For his superb mound work Delgado was named the HL Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. In 14 starts this year, Delgado has posted 8 wins while suffering 2 losses. He has pitched 85 innings, allowed 46 hits, struck out 58 and has a 1.80 ERA. |
