League Suspends Deleón and Márquez for Brawl
Sunday, July 27th , 2042
If there wasn't a history between Fernando Deleón of Kilauea and Ernesto Márquez of Waikiki, then there is one now. The incident between the two sparked a bench-clearing scrum with those two being the center of attention. Now they will miss 2 and 6 games respectively as a result of their actions. The league office announced their suspensions today.
"We're both really competitive," Deleón said later, "and sometimes things go a little too far because of it."
This season, Deleón has hit 9 home runs and posted a .189 batting average.
This season, Márquez has no saves in no relief appearances with a 6-3 record and 5.50 ERA.
