Mair Pounds 3 HR Monday, June 16th , 2042 Konrad Mair brutalized the Lana'i City Pineapples pitching staff, launching three home runs in the 8-4 Kailua victory at Dole Park. The Kailua Hanso first baseman was red-hot, the ball just exploding off his bat all day. "I don't try to hit homers," he said later. "I try to go out there and put a good swing on the ball, and sometimes it is going to go out of the park. I didn't try to hit the first one or the second one or the third one." For the game, he went 3-for-5 with 6 RBIs and 3 runs scored. "Too much Konrad Mair today," Pineapples manager Dale Orcutt said. "That's my assessment of the game. That's what our problems boiled down to." Konrad Mair struck out in the 1st, hit a GRAND SLAM off Juan Rúbio in the 2nd, hit a solo-shot off Aaron Gledhill in the 4th, grounded out in the 6th and hit a solo-shot off Kunimichi Takuda in the 8th. |
