Eagles Out of Time, Out of Playoffs Saturday, August 31st , 2041 The Akutan Island Eagles will have to play out the season without even the faintest glimmer of hope for a late-season playoff push. The club was mathematically eliminated today from postseason contention. Akutan Island last appeared in the postseason in 2038. This is their 3rd consecutive year missing the playoffs, and in total they have not advanced past the regular season 23 times in their 34-year history. In the last 10 seasons, the Eagles have made the playoffs 3 times. Akutan Island last won the Surf and Snow Cup in 2010. |
