Panthers Reed Smacks 5 Hits Thursday, May 8th , 2042 Greg Reed exploded for a barrage of base hits at Ligers Ballpark. The DeSoto Central HS second baseman had a field day in his team's 6-0 triumph over the Blanchard HS Ligers, finishing 5-for-5. "My hitting philosophy is simple," he said. "I focus on just seeing the ball and I try to get a good pitch." Reed must have focused at least 5 times and apparently got some good pitches, too, leading to one of his best days ever with the bat. Greg Reed singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, hit a two-run home run off Danny Hooley in the 8th and hit an RBI single in the 9th. Currently Reed is hitting .259 and has collected 7 home runs, 22 RBIs and scored 23 times, while playing in 44 games. View Boxscore |
