Woodard Raps Bishop Moore HS for 5 Hits

Phil Woodard found his groove in today's game versus the Bishop Moore HS Hornets and wrote his name in the league record book. His 5-for-10 performance at the plate unfortunately wasn't enough for the Central HS Wildcats, as the club lost the game, 10-8.
The 16-year-old first baseman told the press "it was one of those days where everything clicked."
"I made solid contact, and the ball dropped in," Woodard said.
Phil Woodard walked in the 1st, hit a two-run home run off Fred Walker in the 3rd, flied out in the 6th, hit a two-run double in the 7th, hit a three-run home run off Raleigh Fisher in the 9th, singled in the 12th, grounded out in the 14th, grounded out in the 15th, singled in the 17th, flied out in the 20th and flied out in the 22nd.
Currently Woodard is batting .294 with 48 hits and 7 home runs. He has knocked in 28 runs and scored 28 times.
