Round 1 Goes the Distance, Yerington HS Prevails Friday, May 3rd , 2041 The sweet swing of Joe Bush has led his team through the Round 1. The Yerington HS Skeeters star earned series MVP honors as his club downed the Oswego HS Lynx to advance to the Round 2. The Skeeters won the final game at Ballpark of Oswego by a score of 6-2 and the series 4-3. "I'm seeing the ball well and happy to contribute to a win," said Bush. "I hope it continues for the rest of the playoffs." For the series, Bush hit .333 with a .357 on-base percentage. He had 2 home runs, drove in 9 RBI and scored 3 runs. The Yerington HS Skeeters will play against the Sprague HS Torchbearers in the next round. Sprague HS won their series against the Wilson Classical HS Bruins 4 games to 0.
