El Cajon's Starter Receives BCL Pitching Award Monday, September 1st , 2042 When the Virus skipper wrote Pérez on the lineup card, it was a bad omen for the opposition. Outing after outing in August he took command and usually got the win. He dominated with a 5-0 mark and 1.37 ERA in 6 starts. The gifted Virus star pitched 46 innings, fanned 34 and held opposing teams to a .143 average. For his excellent mound work Pérez was named the BCL Pitcher of the Month by the baseball writers. This season to date, Pérez has a record of 9 wins and 7 losses with a 2.83 ERA, has appeared in 25 games and struck out 95 in 127.1 innings. |
