San Luis Rio Colorado Celebrates Wild Card Win Friday, August 29th , 2042 The San Luis Rio Colorado Rapidos Blancos don't see themselves as underdogs or long shots to win the NAFTA Trophy. It may have been only a wild card berth the team was celebrating, as opposed to an Baja Cali League Mexican crown, but that didn't damper the optimism. "I think we're one of the best teams in this league and when it counts, I know we can be the best," said closer John Curwen. "No one is going to remember the team that had the best regular season record. They are going to remember the NAFTA Trophy champions and we believe that's going to be us." The Rapidos Blancos have a 70-55 record and will be looking to win the 4th NAFTA Trophy in team history. |
