Suspensions Handed Out for Bench-Clearing Brawl Thursday, August 28th , 2042 Baseball officials have suspended two players for "inappropriate and aggressive conduct" in yesterday's Bismarck-Birmingham contest at Ballpark of Birmingham. The Battleships Bernardo Zatarain and the Bears Charlie Godwin will have to sit out 3 and 6 games respectively for their parts in the brawl. Thus far this year, Zatarain is batting .245 with 9 home runs, 46 RBIs and 47 runs scored. Over the season, Godwin has made 19 relief appearances with 2 saves. He has K'd 15 batters in 20 innings, yielded 15 walks and has a 8.10 ERA. Godwin's record this year is 0-2. |
