Season Ends for Ricardo Cruz of Middle Bass Saturday, July 26th , 2042 Ricardo Cruz of the Vintners just might have to call it quits for the season. The 24-year-old Middle Bass reliever received a possible season-ending injury against the Bismarck Battleships recently at Battleships Ballpark. Cruz suffered a stretched elbow ligament while throwing a pitch. The Vintners medical staff said he could be out quite some time, as much as 8-9 months. This season, Cruz has logged 38 relief appearances, 47.2 IP, 29 strikeouts, and a 2.64 ERA. His W-L mark is 6 wins and 1 loss, and he has 3 saves. |
