Shmoes End Shanks Streak Saturday, June 21st , 2042 Luke Shanks, left fielder for the Gakidou Onryou, gave it a good try, but his time chasing history came to an end when he went hitless in 4 tries against the Mexicali Shmoes. Not only did the Shmoes break his 25-game hitting streak, they also beat Gakidou by the score of 5-1. "Now that the streak has ended, I can admit I'll breathe a bit easier the next time I step up to bat," Shanks said, speaking with the media after the game. "It was tough because I put a little pressure on myself. Now that it's over, I will definitely be a little bit looser at the plate." Thus far this year, Shanks has hit .330 with 10 home runs and 43 RBIs. |
