Shanks Boosts Hit Streak to 25 Games Friday, June 20th , 2042 Luke Shanks of the Gakidou Onryou tagged 2 hits in today's 9-7 loss to the Mexicali Shmoes at Gakidou Fields to run his hitting streak to 25 straight games. "I realize it's unlikely to have a 25-game streak and not have a couple losses mixed in," he said later. "But it still takes the fun out of it." Luke Shanks struck out in the 1st, flied out in the 3rd, grounded out in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a solo-shot off Jelle Middehof in the 9th. During the current season Shanks is batting at a .336 clip with 10 home runs and 43 RBIs. He has played in 55 games and scored 32 times. |
