Smith 5-for-5 Against Moccasins
Wednesday, June 4th , 2042
It was a sensational day at the plate for Jackson Hole Twin Titans first baseman Tim Smith, but a tough one for the team, as the Twin Titans dropped the contest, 9-6, to the Nampa Moccasins.
Even with the loss, Smith was pure misery for the Nampa pitching staff. He left them shell-shocked after going 5-for-5 in an explosive display of hitting.
"It's always good to get a bunch of hits in a game, but you also want to win," said Smith, who is the 23-year old first baseman .
"Smith really hit the ball hard and when you do that, you've got a good chance to do some damage," Moccasins manager Elliott Jensen told BNN reporters after the game. "I feel like we threw him some good pitches, but he just put some good swings on the ball."
Tim Smith singled in the 2nd, singled in the 3rd, singled in the 5th, singled in the 7th and hit a two-run home run off JĂșlio Silva in the 9th.
Smith is currently batting .375 with 1 home run and 3 RBIs.
