Salton Sea Dazed, MacEwen Gets No-Hitter Wednesday, April 16th , 2042 In a dominant outing, Tom MacEwen of the Chula Vista Chargers totally silenced the bats of the Salton Sea Kilmers, finishing with a no-hitter. In the 6-0 victory, MacEwen faced only 33 batters, surrendered no hits, had 12 strikeouts and 5 walks. "Honestly, I didn't even know the situation was what it was until the seventh inning," Chula Vista manager Ben Mayfield said. "I happened to look up there to see how many hits we had gotten, and I happened to notice that they hadn't gotten any." Commenting on the defeat, losing manager Powell Clark told reporters in the clubhouse that he had a "simple" analysis of the game.
