Maxwell of Mansfield Named AML Best Skipper Sunday, October 19th , 2042 Club officials have reported seeing Pat Maxwell at the ballpark as early as 7 am. His dedication, coupled with a shrewd management style and a knack for knowing "who's hot and who's not" earned Maxwell the Appalachian Mountain League Manager of the Year Award for 2042. "I guess you could say I pushed all the right buttons at the right time for the Mohicans to have the season we did. But keep in mind, too, that I also had a group of dedicated ballplayers who played their hearts out. I thank them for winning this award for me." There was much joy in Mansfield this season. Their beloved Mohicans took first place in the Appalachian Mountain League Central, rounding out the year with a 81-59 record. |
