The Rodan fell against the Yokohama Plumbers by the score of 10-9. Gutiérrez did all he could, rapping out 5 hits in 5 at-bats, but in the end, Yokohama prevailed at Plumbers Ballpark. "I felt real good, but my best just wasn't enough," Gutiérrez said in the postgame interview. "We didn't play well enough to win. I saw the ball well and put the ball in play well, and they fell in for base hits. Some days they do that."
