Gerlach Blanks Jefferson County, 5-0 Thursday, August 21st , 2042 In a seemingly effortless performance, Jarrod Gerlach of the Raleigh El Dorados shot down the Jefferson County Independence, 5-0, on 4 hits. "Jarrod was just locating so well and using his pitches," Raleigh manager Ralph Gunther said later. "He wasn't leaving anything over the plate." Gerlach recorded 9 strikeouts and no walks in a strong outing. "When he needed to make pitches, he elevated his game," Jefferson County manager Miguel Márquez said in postgame comments to BNN.
