Carruthers, Quintero Suspended for Fracas Friday, August 8th , 2042 Paul Carruthers of Mansfield and Rafael Quintero of Newport News were the main participants in a recent bench-clearing brawl and today the league handed out its punishment. Carruthers will have to miss 4 games for his part in the brawl, while Quintero was given 6 games. League officials announced their suspensions today. This season, Carruthers has hit at a .212 clip with 14 RBIs, 5 home runs and 22 runs scored. He has played in 49 games. This season, Quintero has worked 159.2 innings with 143 strikeouts en route to a 8-8 record and a 3.95 ERA. |
