Hubbard 5-for-6 for Sun Dogs Wednesday, July 23rd , 2042 Getting 5 hits in a game has always been memorable feat in baseball. In the Thornton's 18-2 win over Namuko, second baseman Robert Hubbard was red-hot, scorching them for hit after hit at Sun Dog Field. "To hit the ball consistently well, you have to relax," Hubbard said afterward. "I was relaxed for the first four hits, but I have to admit, I got a little tight when I realized I had a chance for five. On the last at-bat, I was ready to swing at anything close." Robert Hubbard doubled in the 1st, hit a two-run single in the 2nd, tripled in the 4th, hit a two-run home run off Rubén López in the 5th, struck out in the 6th and hit an RBI double in the 8th.
