Seguillo and Takano Fight, Suspended 5 Games Friday, July 18th , 2042 Today the league office handed out 5-game suspensions to Wilson Seguillo of the Kingpins and Hideyori Takano of the Grizzlies for their roles in a benches-clearing skirmish at 7-10 Park yesterday. The league commissioner said in the statement to both organizations, "This league does not condone fighting and aggressive conduct on the field, thus we had to take action to discourage this behavior in the future." In 75 games this season, Seguillo is batting .302 with 83 hits and 9 home runs. He has scored 28 runs and driven in 36. Takano has 14 relief appearances this year with 5 saves. Takano has also compiled a 0-0 won-lost mark with a 7.32 ERA. In 19.2 innings he has fanned 30. |
