Bogers Strokes 3 HR Against Joplin Monday, June 2nd , 2042 It was a good day for the Mansfield Mohicans and an exceptional one for Dick Bogers. The 23-year-old first baseman sent three bombs out of the park to help the Mohicans beat the Joplin Red Racers, 14-1, at Red Racers Ballpark. "When you're in the zone, the game really slows down," Bogers said when asked about his performance later. "I couldn't even tell you what pitches were thrown. Today feels great, but it is a long season and tomorrow is another day." For the day, he scored 3 times, drove in 4 runs and smacked 4 hits in 6 at-bats. Dick Bogers flied out in the 1st, singled in the 3rd, hit a two-run home run off Everton Wallwin in the 5th, struck out in the 7th, hit a solo-shot off Manuel Miranda in the 8th and hit a solo-shot off Maaik Krijger in the 9th.
