Monday, July 15th , 2041
Marcel Osterhout of the Beantown Browns spun his magic on the Evansville Tri-Staters. He blanked them, 17-0, on 9 hits, registering 7 strikeouts and no walks.
"The bottom line was I just kept the ball down," Osterhout said. "My breaking stuff was down. Everything was down."
Talking to reporters in the postgame interview, Beantown skipper Oliver Robinson said the team "got solid pitching, good defense and took great team at-bats in a lot of different situations."
"Marcel pitched really well but this was a solid performance by everyone," he said.
Osterhout has taken the mound for 10 relief appearances this season, nailing down no saves while notching a 5-0 record with a 1.87 ERA. The Beantown reliever has limited opposing batters to a .203 batting average.
